1. Company & Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application "Kollywood Games" (Package ID: com.kollywoodgames.app) and related online services operated by BILET KOLLYWOOD GAMES PRIVATE LIMITED ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), incorporated under the laws of India, having its official registered office at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

By downloading, accessing, or playing Kollywood Games, you agree to the collection and handling of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal, purposeful data necessary to maintain fair gameplay, deliver movie rewards, and provide secure account synchronization:

A. Authentication & Profile Information

  • Google Sign-In: When you sign in using Google, we collect your unique Google User ID, display name, verified email address, and avatar URL provided via OAuth.
  • Phone Number Authentication: If you authenticate via mobile OTP, we collect your mobile phone number exclusively to verify login integrity and deliver security notifications.
  • Player Profile: Nickname, avatar selections, and chosen hometown district.

B. Gameplay & Leaderboard Data

  • Quiz scores, completion timestamps, daily streak progression, and tournament ranking.
  • FDFS ticket reward redemption history, ticket serial identifiers, and claim statuses.

C. Location Information

Kollywood Games offers geographic-specific rewards (such as First Day First Show movie passes in designated Tamil Nadu multiplexes).

  • District Verification: With your explicit permission, the app accesses your device's approximate or precise location to confirm residency or presence in participating Tamil Nadu districts (e.g. Coimbatore, Chennai, Madurai).
  • No Background Tracking: Location is requested only in foreground context during relevant reward checks. We do not track your location when the app is closed.

D. Payment Information

Ticket purchases and pass unlocks are executed using the PhonePe Payment Gateway. All payment processing complies with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) standards. We do not capture, store, or view your debit/credit card numbers, CVVs, or UPI PINs. We receive only a cryptographic transaction reference ID and confirmation of payment success or failure.

E. Device and Technical Diagnostics

  • Device model, operating system version, and unique installation identifiers.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) registration tokens used to send you notifications regarding daily rewards and movie updates.
  • Crash logs and system diagnostics provided anonymously through Google Firebase Crashlytics to resolve bugs and performance issues.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following specific purposes:

  • To maintain your game account, sync your points across devices, and prevent loss of game progress.
  • To verify eligibility for regional FDFS movie ticket contests and prevent automated botting or duplicate claims.
  • To operate regional and statewide player leaderboards.
  • To send match notifications, tournament reminders, and daily login bonus alerts (you can disable notifications anytime in app settings).
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent cheating, unauthorized emulator spoofing, and security breaches.

4. Third-Party Services & Integrations

We partner with industry-standard cloud and infrastructure providers who adhere to strict data protection standards:

  • Google Play Services: Core platform connectivity, app updates, and Android runtime support. (Google Privacy Policy)
  • Google Firebase (Google LLC): Cloud Firestore, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Functions, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for backend infrastructure and secure database synchronization.
  • Google AdMob: For displaying in-game interstitial and rewarded advertisements. AdMob may use device identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID) to serve relevant or non-personalized ads in accordance with Google's ad policies.
  • PhonePe (PhonePe Private Limited): Authorized payment aggregator for processing digital transactions, UPI, and net banking. (PhonePe Privacy Policy)

5. Data Security & Storage

We employ robust administrative, technical, and physical security measures to safeguard your information:

  • All communication between the mobile app, backend Cloud Functions, and database is encrypted using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2+ / HTTPS).
  • Cloud Firestore databases are protected with role-based security rules ensuring users can only read and write data they are authorized to access.
  • Android automated cloud backups of sensitive credentials are explicitly disabled (allowBackup="false") to prevent unauthorized extraction from local device storage.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your gameplay and account data for as long as your account remains active. In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) and Google Play User Data policies, you hold full rights to delete your data:

How to Request Account Deletion: You can delete your account and associated profile records directly within the app by navigating to Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by submitting an email request to support@kollywoodgames.com with your registered email or phone number. Upon verification, your profile, scores, and personal identifiers will be permanently expunged within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Kollywood Games is designed for cinema and quiz enthusiasts. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without consent, please contact us immediately so we can remove the data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements to our gameplay features, legal obligations, or service partnerships. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date. Continued use of the app after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
